Insults are nasty words that stupid people use in order to make the ones around them feel miserable. The stupid people never mean what they say because, well... they're just stupid. But the person who is insulted always gets offended. Everyone has been insulted at least once in their lives. Some of us fight back, some don't. Some get depressed, while some get angry. We all know how it feels to be called "ugly", "fat", "stupid", "worthless" and so on. So why do people say such things? Because people are stupid. Even smart people can act stupid in certain situations. They all know that saying those words isn't going to change the fact that you are better and they will never compare to you, but they still say it, just for the fun of it. Is it worth making fun of someone's flaws, disabilities or fears? For them it sure is. They feel so cool because they can make you feel insignificant. And this happens only because you let them. You shouldn't care what people think anyway because people are stupid... But, of course, it's easier said than done. It's really hard to ignore when someone you don't even talk to calls you names and makes fun of you, but it's even worse when someone you care does those things. This is a call for everyone: don't be stupid! Stop using meaningless words because they always mean something for the one you say them to.
Talking about insults, three words that are often misunderstood are: nerd, geek and dork. And no, they do NOT mean the same so stop being stupid... Nerds are intelligent and industrious people who understand things. Geeks are people who are interested in things that others are not interested in and they know a lot about their interests, but usually do not understand underlying principles. Dorks are foolish and clumsy people. So be careful when you use those words because they could hurt somebody's feelings. Preferably, stop using insults of any kind. It doesn't make you cooler, smarter or funnier. Eminem once said: "If you ain't got nothing nice to say then don't say nothing" (if I remember correctly)... So, please, stop being stupid...
